The standards of football transfer went up another level when French giant Paris Saint German signed brazilian superstar Neymar for a record breaking unprecedented 222 million dollars. A couple of years back everyone was in awe when Manchester United signed Paul Pogba for over a 100 million dollars. But when Neymar went to Paris most of us thought that no one can go even close to Neymar in the near future and look what has happened just after a span of six months. Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho has signed a contract with Barcelona worth 160 million dollars. Hence now we can comfortably say that any world class player would not fetch anything less that 100 million. But there lies one of the bigger problems which I think is the case of giant clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona not grooming the local talent but only focussing on the international superstars which indeed is not fruitful for the future of football.
