Evening of 6th July could become an extremely memorable one if the results go according to the so called script on the 30th of June. We all know that it is not easy for Argentina to beat France and it is extremely difficult for Portugal to beat Uruguay but we humans like to speculate, don't we? First of the two big round 16 matches is between Argentina and France. Argentina were in absolute shambles after the humiliating loss to Croatia who were magnificent that night. Argentinean defence had no idea of dealing with Ivan Rakitic and the magician Luka Modric. Though they produced a decent performance against Nigeria and Messi did score a goal, I don't think they are anywhere near as good as they were in 2014.
